1. Committee Meeting tonight at 6pm (Monday 3/1/2010)
2. The next summer camp payment of $90 is due and must be paid by the 8th - This is payment 2 of 3.
If you have any problems with getting the payment to me by that date please communicate with me -this payment must be in before the Scout can be registered for his merit badge choices.
3. More on Summer Camp: last month the committee voted that the boys will leave for camp on Sat morning instead of Sun morning as they have in the past. They will arrive at Camp Daniel Boone late Sat afternoon and this will cost an extra $15 per person. This pays for the extra night of camping and the associated 3 meals. We felt that this was the best plan due to the distance to the camp. This amount will be collected with the last payment
4. The week of March 15 is Spring Break - there will be no meeting on Monday, March 15.
5. Information on the March Outing/Activity will be provided later - we need for the Scouts to get more involved in the activities - lately we have had to cancel several activities due to lack of participation.
6. Tonight we will begin working on 4 historical merit badges that can only be earned this year as part of the 100 years of Scouting celebrations. The four badges are Carpentry, Tracking, Pathfinding, and Signaling. These badges have been retired and this one time opportunity to earn the badges includes the historic requirements. The first one we will work on is Pathfinding. The boys will complete most of the work for these badges as a group but some outside work may be required.
1. Committee Meeting will be April 5th at 6pm.
2. April 19 will be Court of Honor. Please encourage your Scout to work on rank advancement requirements and partially completed merit badges.
